I have too many to name.
I like new foods, particularly Caribbean and African foods.
I enjoy many types of music, jazz, Afro-Latino, hip-hop, old school R&B, just about anything except country and metal. For me, it's more about an individual piece than any particular genre. My taste varies from day to day and activity to activity.
My dress sense is highly eclectic. I like to dress my mood. One day, it might be flowy maxi dresses and skirts, another day, flirty skater style dresses. Then again, it may be sexy skinny jeans and stiletto heels, but I'm most comfortable in my tennis shoes and tee shirts.
I have a pretty good sense of humor and I like to laugh. i don't like hurtful jokes at the expense of others if I can help it. I like to believe I am able to laugh at myself and I like to spend time with people who can do the same.
I spend most of my free time making artisan jewelry (sculptural wirework mostly), drawing, and participating in the local foundation of arts. I also write fiction and I love to read and watch television.
I've never left North America. I've visited Mexico and Canada, but I would like to travel to the UK and to many countries in Africa.
I like to learn new things and learn about new people. Having a partner from a different culture is an opportunity to learn more about the world and about myself.
A perfect romantic weekend would include a private bungalow or a hotel suite. Great food, time to focus on one another, long walks window shopping or enjoying a museum or two, or just lounging on a beach or lakeside dock. PLENTY of alone time, sans clothing, kids or interruptions.
I have a very friendly personality. I am the type of person that people like to confide in. Sometimes I'm a little too trusting and give more of myself than others give to me. When people first meet me, some tend to think I'm stand offish or conceited, but I'm just a little reserved in new situations and I like to get to know the situation I'm in, but I'm very approachable.
Is there really such a thing as a perfect match?? Someone who could make me happy would be someone who is giving, passionate, patient, compassionate, shares similar interests with me, but isn't clingy. My perfect match would still be my friend, even if she was never my lover.
