G.I. Jane. Though it's a cheesy film, it's 'woman takes on the world and wins' theme makes me happy and Demi Moore looks very, very hot in it. Hmm, buzzcuts...
Little House in the Big Woods, by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I read a lot for work, and for pleasure, but no other book has been so formative for me: it inspired my love of nature, my enjoyment of simple foodie pleasures, and my homemaking skills.
I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food, and my bushcraft activities mean I've prepared and eaten foods that others would find 'challenging', but the food I like to cook most is what my grandmother would call "good, plain food": like roast chicken with biscuits and gravy. I love to bake as well.
I'm afraid I am not at all cool when it comes to music. My current playlists range from P!nk to The Dead Weather to Tegan and Sara.
My dress sense is definitely masculine-of-centre. Superdry features heavily. When I'm smart, I love a preppy look: smart shirts, ties, chinos, brogues. When I'm more casual, its layers, jeans, a leather flight jacket and boots.
I have a whimsical sense of humour. I love Eddie Izzard's earlier stuff, before he started acting. At the moment I have a big crush on Mae Martin.
Last year, I did an ice-trek up the frozen rivers of Maine for two weeks. I'm drawn to cold places and would love to go to Alaska or spend more time in Scandanavia.
